Canadian dude Cecil Frena, aka Gobble Gobble Born Gold, released his first proper full-length Bodysongs for free today on pretty much every existing Internet format out there. This is some weirdo future-pop that carries a certain sense of apocalyptic foreboding (especially in Frena’s cryptic, almost Kafkaesque lyrics), but is somehow brighter and happier in that acknowledgement. Some of the songs have a little too much candy-sweet, DDR-synth type shit for me to fully enjoy, but most of the record is a righteous neon good time. Listen and download below.
